Launched in 2018 by SILV Films and Juan Trujillo, the Mapping Masculinity project seeks to explore queer of color perspectives on masculinity. We are interesed in understanding how we learn our attitudes and feelings about being men, including the ones that limit us. And we are interested in healing, in finding ways to be nurturing, secure, and connected to ourselves, our communities and especially other men.
This project was made possible by generous support from the Regional Arts & Culture Council and by the contributions of individual supporters. We welcome your participation in the form of artistic collaboration and financial contributions. You may give to the project at any time using the PayPal button at the foot of every page. All donations go toward paying for the production and editing labor of the project directors and other QTBIPOC creators. All too often people of color are asked to exercise their expertise or share their life experience without payment, and your donations allow us to provide fair compensation.
Also, if you would like to tell us about your own relationship to maleness and masculinity as a person of color or join one of our group discussions on camera, reach out to us at info@elinverso.com!
We are are especially grateful for the financial support of the following individuals whose generous contributions have allowed us to compensate artists and collaborators involved in the project.
